Hey all, I know this topic has probably been touched before, but I am a little confused as to what camera's are allowed to be used during the Classic. I have heard some people saying that you can't use phones. Is this even if you phone has a memory card? I thought the camera didn't matter as long as you showed up with a memory card with your catch on it.

Thanks,
Kevin

We have a card reader that can handle most standard format memoery chips.

The rules state clearly: "Participants may only use digital cameras for recording scoring fish."

We do not recommend cell phones because their resolution is poor and/or their lens are tiny and they do not shoot pics that are "judgeable". It is the angler's responsibility to take good enough pics such that our judges can score the fish and identify all the required elements. So it is your choice what you use - if you choose to use a phone and your pictures are not good enough that is your responsibility.

"linda"....Is this Linda C.....??????

If so, you owe me a brew from last year!! LOL!!!

However, I will be missing my first JKF Kayak Classsic this year.....
My SIL graduates that day from "Sewanee: The University of the South" up in TN, and he will then become an Episcopal priest!! Something that I cannot miss obviously!!

Hope you do well, and if you run over here early, let me know if you wanna "pre-fish" some areas....take care, Linda!!

I am in for the tourney this year. 1 out of 500 seems like pretty good odds.

Hi Linda!! Congrats on your nice finish over at the FCKA Tourney last weekend in BRUTAL conditions....sorry that I could not make it, but with my SIL graduating from the School of Theology, his ordination as an Episcopal priest, and them moving to Charlotte, NC, there are too many weekends booked and paid for right now!!

I will be in JAX until Wed, May 11th, so hopefully we can get together and pre-fish and get a "sammich" and a brew or three......or at least I can send you some "hot spots" where I have fished nearer to that time...
Thx.....John

Two quick questions.

I will be fishing with my wife, we only have one waterproof digital camera that we take on the water. Will it be ok if we use the same camera, but different memory cards?

EDIT: (Got it it looks like we can use the same camera, and card just a different token).

When I registered I put one make of kayak, and I think I'm going to change my mind on which kayak I bring is that alright?

Thanks, Jeremy
