Hopefully they are not as slip dangerous as the originals. I love the comfort of mine but they are not the shoes I wear for kayaking.

I was in the Crocs store in Panama City this past weekend and they have all kinds of new stuff. I picked up some new sandals that have an actual rubber sole on them. Looks like the ones Dreads posted have it to, should last quite a while and not slip near as much also.

Makes you wonder where they got the idea. ;) I'm sure they are comfy, but won't be as comfy as Keens are, nor last as long.

Much of the issue with Crocs is the slip factor both inside and outside the shoe. I wear mine quite a bit but even something as simple as a wet parking lot line is dangerous since the Crocs material with slip on it. Same is true for smooth tile or sealed concrete. Inside the shoe if your feet are wet they slide around. Teva, Bite, or any of the other open style shoes with non slip bottoms ( inside and out) are much better. For my own use in a kayak I wear Teva watershoes, very non slip and quite tough. Besides they are one of the few firms that offer a true size 15. If my feet were any bigger I could leave the Wavewalk at home and stroll to the fish.

Never had a slip problem with Crocs except the one pair I have worn for over 2 years. There is no tread/grip left on the sole. They made it down the Grand Canyon for 8 days of hiking, rafting. Took another pair similar to the Keens but they ended up staying in the bag.

Crocs Rock

Love my crocs. Hate that they discontinued the Islander and axel styles.

This new one looks pretty water friendly as well:

They don't look near as gay as the regular Crocs I see people wearing. :D
