Today I almost forgot the saying ''its called fishing, not catching'' . went out to oak harbor with dad today, started at 8am this morning and until we left at 2pm not one nibble they entire time. I tried gulp shrimp, DOA shrimp, jr. spook, gulp swimming mullet, and a crystal minnow???
then towards low tide we almost got stuck in a little creek that we decided to go into to scout around, which wasn't very fun.not even the mullet for very happy today cause I think I might have saw one jump. we did see to other yakers out fishin, I hope they did a lot better then we did.
oh well, theres about fifety different things that affect how fish eat and how active they are. But, like all fisherman say, ''a bad day of fishing is still better then a good day at the office'' :thumbleft:

Any day on the water is a good day IMO but even a nibble would have been nice considering the winds you had to deal with.. But non the less great info think I will head a little south tomorrow.

With all the blowing today I think the fish were visiting the mall.

This is the first Sunday since I don't know when that I did not go fishing. After checking out the wind situation and the pollen count I decided to stay at home and go with my wife to the home show. I won a nice prize from one of the vendors and had a great time.
After reading the fishing reports today, other than Christian, I made the right decision.
I have never fished Oak Harbor, or for that matter I have never fished Jacksonville, but no matter where you were today in North Florida the fishing was going to tough. :(
I am waiting for a warm day and light wind before making the trip to Jacksonville to practice and find an area I like to fish the tournament. :cyclopsani:
Look forward to meeting you at the Tournament in May.
Great fishing. :salute:
