Im looking for something to carry my gear at the Nassau sound bridge and Jax beach pier. I would like to spend under $75. I found a wagon at harbor freight, its even got 10" pneumatic wheels.

do fold up carts work good? or hand trucks?

I've seen children's "little tykes" plastic wagons used, the wide plastic tires also work in some sand. You can find them used for cheap on Craig's list or thrift stores.

If you are going over sand consider wheeleez tires vs the pneumatic tires. Pneumatic tires will dig in the sand and make it difficult to pull the cart over sand. The wheeleez site has a nice folding cart with wheeleez tires but it runs around $200.

Not sure what your asking??? Are you talking about a cart to carry a kayak or a cart to carry your fishing gear out on the bridge/pier :?:

Take this for what it's worth...

I tried EVERYTHING, to avoid buying a Fishin' Mate "REAL" Pier/Surf cart. When my Lowe's garden cart broke an axle on the "t" at the JaxBeachPier, I proceeded DIRECTLY to Strike Zone, and used a money off coupon to buy a large size Fishin' Mate. The garden cart went into the dumpster out back...

If you are gonna Surf/Pier/Bridge fish any reasonable amount of time, then just go on and pop for a Fishin' Mate. You'll NEVER regret buying a good piece of equipment.

Anything else is just screwing around...

I have a Radio Flyer you can have. I have used it on the pier. It is not fancy, but you can't beat the price...

Strike Zone as mentioned above by RailRoader!!
Check the link below to their website and give them a call before driving over....

They are having a BIG SIDEWALK SALE right now!! March 12, 13, and 14th with up to 40% OFF on some items that are already marked down 50-75%!!!!

Good reason to call and see if their carts are marked down and available!!

PS: Rick's Bait & Tackle has a "similar" product at a good price, but CALL FIRST since they do not always have them available!!

guys, thanks very much for the ideas, suggestions and input. one liner, thank you very very much for the offer. I ended up buying a wagon from harbor freight and added a triple rod holder to it. I will be using this at the nassau sound bridge and pier, to carry my rods, cooler, tackle, sun shade, etc. instead of using the hardware that came with it, I bought 1/4 bolts and wing nuts so I can break it down when needed (I dont have a garage or shed), and there are just 8 bolts and its apart. for the wagon, rod holder and hardware, it cost about $72 after taxes. I would love to have a nice pier cart but my budget, and lack of storage, led me to go with the wagon.

Here's one I made from PVC. Have about $90 in it, but $20 was just for the tires. It works well. I use it mainly for the beach. With that being said, I think I agree with Railroader. My next one will be the Fishnmate.
