Ohhh boy, now that I'm the Emmrod guy around here sometimes duty calls. This Saturday the wife is attending and working a huge quilt show in Trenton, FL west of Gainesville. I had helped her quilt group once before at another show and they all appreciated "tall man" who could hang the quilts. Well it seems I've been recruited  . The deal is I'll have a little Emmrod booth at the train depot in Trenton where Kate's group is working. There should be loads of other captive men also recruited to drive and help out I can entertain. Oh well, this will be good practice for the big time next week. March 20th all day showing Emmrods at Gander Mountain in Saint Augustine from 9 till 4, can't wait for that. :D

Hey Jeff, I work next door to Gander. Maybe I'll pop in and visit you. :D

Great idea Jeff. I have been dragged to many bead shows by the wife. Would have been nice if there was an Emmrod both to hang out at. Probably would have ended up with a rod or two in the process.

Hmmm bead shows? You know that is a nice idea come to think of it. Hit a bunch of the shows where husbands are dragged to. Emmrods might be their only break. Come to think of it the "shop hop" gigs might be good too. I've driven the shop hop routes myself. At each location there is always a small area in the back with food to keep guys entertained while the ladies brouse the shop. Gosh a back pack loaded with Emmrods could pay for my gas :D Heck I could strap the Wavewalk into the back of my Ranger and do buisness on the street out front. That big yellow boat always draws a crowd. :thumbleft:

You have become a marketing genius.

Having been to some of these craft shows I can tell you that the food area was where I tried to spend my time to avoid the pain and suffering brought on by visiting every bead vendor booth in the show.

Now a little irony, I started surf fishing towards the latter half of last year and quickly identified that most of the experienced surf guys up here use beads as an attractant for whiting and pompano. Shamefully I have looked through all of my wife's bead trays and picked out those beads that look like they may match the hatch and even browsed one of her 1,000 page catalogs in the process. I did get in trouble with her once when she found some very expensive rare beads dangling from a few of my pompano rigs.
