I'm a member with Orlando kayak and fishing club and will be heading up to St Augustine in the next few days. I have a friend coming down from the north. We're hoping to get in a little kayaking/fishing while he is down in Florida.

I have my own yak, but we will need to rent one for him. I also have been checking out some of your posted fishing spots in the St. Augustine.

Any suggestion of where to rent a kayak? Hopefully the rental location is near some of your good fishing sites..

Thanks for any suggestions. You guys have a great website! Enjoyed your recent red fish catches!

If that is a reference to Costal Outdoors they are now renamed the original of Genung's Fish Camp and currently do not rent kayaks on site at this time. However it is an excellent bait shop, a wonderful place to launch your own kayak ,and an Emmrod dealer :D

Hey Jeffrey....Once again, you beat me to the draw!! LOL!!!

I was just going to explain to "itsme" that Islander1225 was only 3 generations behind on the name of the place...LOL!!!.....and Coastal Outdoors became "Shady Oyster Fish Camp" and then now it has new ownership and reverted back to the original name of "Genung's Fish Camp!!

Same place....same good fishing....same convenient location.....GREAT new ownership!!!
I did NOT know that they do NOT rent kayaks right now tho....
Where can "Itsme" get a kayak in the St. Aug. area????
Please let him know on this thread......appreciate it....JohnYaksJax

PS: "Itsme".....I am also a member of O.K.F.C. so welcome to JKF!!

Devil's Elbow Fishing Resort rents kayaks... I'm not to fond of their bait selection so personally I'd stop by Genung's Fish Camp first then head south on A1A to Devil's Elbow and launch/rent a kayak from there. I think they charge to launch. Like $5 or so... Anyway. I think that place is about the only option available for kayak renting.

Good luck
