did you guys go early in the day? I think I must have gone too late...tide was already very low. Only had one bite. Saw a couple of other yakkers out there and they only caught a couple of rat reds.....

The bite was best around 1:00-3:00. As you can see from the pics, it was pretty low at our spot.

I was out from 12 till 230..it was so low in some spots my yak scraped the bottom.. we were over in the Haulover Creek area though.. all the feeders were dry and dry oyster beds were everywhere. I finally gave up and called it a day. Then I see your guys report and wonder..What the heck am I doing wrong!? Oh well, congrats any ways on some nice fish guys.....

Right tide, wrong spot. Look for deeper spots with oyster bars in any of the creeks off of Heckscher. Try fresh shrimp or fiddlers. Keep your rod in your hand because the bite is often a very light tap.
Good Luck!

I had a Great day with you guys! There is nothing better than going out with a great group of guys and catching alot of fish. That was one of the most productive days of fishing I've had in a while. the total for me was 13 blk drum from 14"-20" and 1 red at 15". all were caught on a jig with 1/2 a shrimp and a fiddler.

Got the pics fixed finally! Sorry for the screw up, guys! John, I can't believe you said it was "age related"!! What a bud! LOL! Even though I was fighting a cold, I enjoyed the heck out of the day. Thanks again to John, Pete, Jim and Brett for making my birthday a memorable one!

Yeah, I hear the Wahoo bite can be off the hook at Hannah. I am going to break out some of my Big trolling stuff and Mr. Biggs lures and see how I can do. Thanks. :joker:
