I recently joined and have a question for any fly guys or girls on here. Has anyone fished the shad spawn on the st. johns that is going on now. I talked to the owner of avid angler in st. augustine. He said try where 46 crosses the st. johns. Has anyone tried this area or know any area further north? I mostly fish around the flats here in st. aug out of a native kayak but this sounded like it would be great on fly. From what I understand they give a pretty good fight for their size. Anyways, this is my first post on here and I hope to meet up with some of you or at least say hi on the water soon. Best Regards

Welcome to the forum.. Yes, it's in full swing right now. The local fly club had an outing there last weekend and we caught a bunch of fish.
