Same technique, just find a deeper spot.

Hey FP71908.....First of all, please ignore that remark above this one if you are a new kayak paddler and your son is with you....IT WOULD NOT BE SAFE FOR YOU!!!

Now....There were several of the gang in here that fished the same area you did...on SUNDAY!! We did not plan it, and launched from different spots, but we all had pretty much the same results!! Did you see this Fishing Report???

topic21023.html

They are in that area!! Small pieces of FRESH shrimp...alive or dead....and fiddler crabs on jigheads or hooks with very light bullet weights were the normal rigs!! Good Luck!!

Hey nopants.....Sorry, but I was not busting on you really!! Just trying to make certain that our "newbies" learn this great sport without any additional risks!!

Now....catching BIG BLACK DRUM from the shoreline could be alot of fun!! But, PLEASE PEOPLE, just take a few pix and return them to the water!! Those really BIGGUNS have parasites and their flesh is as tuff as shoeleather....NO reason to kill those big breeders!!

Your right JYJ, those big ones are NOT very tasty, even tho some folks will beg to differ. To me, perfect size is 15-20"..
