This past weekend my friend troy (roysterson) came in town so we could get after some reds in the nice weather. This was our first fishing trip of 2010 and it turned out fairly well. made it out early am friday to fish the first of the incoming in VC and ended up with about a half dozen reds in the range of 16-25 in. Saturday we headed out in the jon boat for about an hour of fishing before I had to be at work and picked up another half dozen reds- these were all in the 20-26 inch range. All in all a pretty good weekend, with it being the first trip in about two months. One thing I noticed was the Reds were not schooled up like they should be this time of year..maybe they are just a little late getting together?

They were caught on saltwater assasins " Space Guppy" -that seems to be the magic lure up here for reds. I'd say they are more productive than the gulps, and I'd recommend them to anyone

We have some pretty "Once in a Lifetime" Videos from this trip as well which I will post. I guess YouTube is the best way?

anyway, one video involves a bird, and one video involves a dolphin.... I will let your mind ponder until i post them.
