Awesome! When I was home at Christmas we went out in 30 deg weather and caught about 75 of them....with 3 legal snapper the day before they closed down.

Hey FLA_Ripper.....Sea bass are REALLY great eating too!!

Did ya get any of those big "greenheads"....????

They are scrappy fighters if you have some light tackle aboard....but....that is when you would get a big snapper, grouper or AJ!!!

I think the biggest one we had was around18". What a tasty fish! It was on before the sinker hit bottom, all day long!

FLA_Ripper .....that 18" one is a "biggun".....and they may be as good eating as anything in the ocean!!! Nice white and mild fillets and sweet tasting!!

PS: I really liked the triggerfish that we occasionally caught too!!

The "Sea Bass Bite" has been great lately all up and down the East Coast. We ran our 23 out of Ft. Pierce Sunday, trolling only...picked up 4 Bonito on blue/white jet head lures. Good rod-benders...but I don't keep'em. All released in good shape. Pretty slow for us trollers...cool water I guess. Didn't want to stay close to work the macks and blues, or go for the bottom. I figured I'd just be sick if we pulled up a coupla nice big Grouper...
