I have to say I have the greatest gilrfriend in the world. She wanted to go fishing on February 14th!! Hey, what she wants is what she gets. Winds were light, but I figured the water was a little cold for anything spectacular. Wrong!! We started catching trout in a deep hole. On my next cast drag started screaming off the reel and I did not even feel the hit. Suddenly it came unhooked. Huh, after that I caught a few keeper trout. Go figure, it is always easy to catch keepers when the season is closed. As the tide flooded in Nichole was catching nice trout every cast. I threw down by an oyster bar and wham! I felt like I was hooked to a train. That thing pulled me around for a while. Some of the time I could not even get it off the botttom. Finally I pulled her to the surface. It was my biggest red ever. A 31" red seemed like a good way to end the day. I love Kayak fishing!! The picture is not great. There were water spots on the lens and I was in a hurry to catch another one.

Nice fish and great valentines day story. You are a lucky man. You may have hooked more than one keeper ;) .

Great fishing report and pix too...SLOB of a redfish!! Congrats on your PR/PB!!!

That fish was OVER SLOT, but you still have a "keeper"....NICOLE!!!
Any lady who would give up a fancy-schmantzy dinner someplace to go kayak fishing is a definite KEEPER!!!
