I was at Dutton around 10:00 AM Saturday (11/28/09). It was in low tide (outgoing).
About half an hour later, I saw relatively large wake near a muddy grass area. The wake was followed by bunch of smaller wakes...
I threw my DOA Shrimp at there. In a few seconds I felt a bite and saw line moving.
It was a red: 20.5 inches long. It is not a big deal for many of you, right!?
But, it was special for me. My objective of this year came true!
It took more than a year :!: I caught a legal-size redfish with a lure by myself

Thank those who gave me bunch of advice of spotting fish and other tips. I have been reading the tips over and over. I am still far to go. But, I am very satisfied with the red.

I had a similar problem in freshwater bass fishing in 2006. I could not catch bass with lures for a long time. But, my catching rate has been improved since then. I also started to be able to use baitcaster reel with a weightless soft plastic lure.
