I've been using these for four years, mostly in saltwater and they hold up extremely well.

Sorry to hear about that.

I have a similar story. I was wearing flip flops about 2 years ago and walking across the front lawn where I hit a little slippery wet grass area and as I tried to regain my balance the front of my flip flop caught the ground causing me to trip, fall, and tear a ligament (acl) in my knee. Couldn't walk on that leg for a while and took a long time to get back to normal.

I thought to myself, I lived for about 30 years doing some of the craziest extreme sports you can think of (surfing, skate boarding, dirt biking, riding bucking horses, football, etc.) and never even the slightest injury besides a scrape or minor cut.

So in conclusion, apparently the most dangerous thing I've done in that time period is to wear flip flops while walking across a sloped lawn with wet grass.

Beware of those flip flops in the wrong application.

Hope you all don't mind me sharing my flip flop story.

GNBass that is a very good point. Suzanne has never been to a hospital much less broken a bone and to do so walking on the beach.

You also bring up a good point about the slope, there was a slight slope/incline along the shoreline.

I am banning all flip flops in this house :!:

Very frustrating and we have 6-8 weeks to go... :( God willing it all goes well :sunny:

Thanks for your input.

Get well soon MsVision,.........Guilty about the flip flops in the past also, use Teva's all the time now.

Learning alot of safety tips this week with ray barbs & hot packs and proper footwear! Hate that people are in alot of pain over all these lessons though! :(
