I challenge BAYVIEW and anyone else who thinks this site is not the most informative on fishing spots to show me a SINGLE website ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET with MORE detail and information presented through our fishing spots pages.

It's unbelievable that some people just don't appreciate a great FREE resource with GREAT people and have the NERVE to MOAN and GROAN. JKF wants people that have a POSITIVE impact - whiners and complainers will be treated as such ;)

If there are specific things you want on this site maybe YOU should gather the information, write it up nicely, and submit it to us to publish for all to share.

:soapbox:

I've managed to catch a few fish here and there, but the one thing that I have learned is that contrary to popular belief, the fish are ill informed about the honey hole concept-they tend to move around a bit-Todd told me something the other day that may be the biggest truth about saltwater fishing- he said " I like to fish from a kayak because it is like HUNTING for fish-You have to think and search for them every time you go out-"

think how boring it would be if the fish were always in one spot-really, what fun would that be? I see the same boats parked in the same spot nearly every weekend where we like to fish and I feel l;ike telling them to move around a little-but, some folks go fishing for different reasons (beer, babes, etc.)

Exploring your favorite water is the ONLY way to find fish-I try at least a couple new spots every time out-I have caught fish at the same spots a lot, but I've also caught 60 reds in one spot and the next day or the next month, the same spot produces squat-

What I am trying to say is, there are no honey holes that always produce fish-I also have never met an oyster bed I didn't like, or a creekmouth that I wouldn't fish, or a deep spot at low tide that I just paddle by-!!!!!

Kayakmike... i challange you to read every single one of my reply's to this forum... i never said that there was a lack of information, and i never asked anyone for honey holes... i was new to jacksonville and to kayak fishing... all of the information on this site is great and appreciated and i have told johnyaksjax numerous times while fishing with him that the only reason i bought a kayak is because of the information on this site... but that doesnt mean that i cant ask for some solid spots to invest time into and its others rights to either give that information or keep it to themselves.. dreads wrapped that perfectly in his replys to this forum but the few times if have seen dreads on the water or fished with him he has had no problem givinig informatioon at his discression... you starting this site is a great thing for the sport and for kayakers in general but until you understand where i am coming from i dont think its necessary to challance me to anything with your big capitalized words... i never onced criticized the site or its info, i did ask for peoples input given the fact that 119 people had looked at it and only 2 had responded at one point... even if people looked at it and said sorry kid, i understand that you dont know these places in the fishing spots since your new to jacksonville but im still too stuck up to actually give you some advice, i would take it for what its worth... tdsdad said that the fish move and there are no such things as honey holes and everyone has their own opinion on that but thats y i didnt ask for honey hole spots and werent lookeing for that, but if he is right about the fish moving and there being no such thing as honey holes then regardless of the great info on this site, it shouldnt matter if people want to ask questions... in school you are tought that there are no stupid question... but apprently on this site there are when the creator of the site is challanging people because of a post... almost 2000 people have checked out this post of mine and the ones that actually commented just gave their opinion whether it be positive or negative and i have thanked everyone for ther replys regardless... as the creator, instead of challanging a 21 year old kid who knows nothn about jacksonville fishing other than the few times he has actually been out to fish, maybe you should be happy that a post can be as great as this one is.. the fact that so many people have viewed this and replied, just shows how good of a website you actually have here and the ample info that people give out and put on here... i give you alot of repect for making a great site but ultimately its the members that make it what it is... challenging them over a very simple question is not the way to go

You have to admit that he does have a nice way to express himself in a rebuttle for a 21 year old youngster.

I'm glad that this got patched up.
