JYJ turned me on to this last year. So with great gratitude I'm posting this in hopes that some one here can get it.

Last year I did Paddle Georgia 2008 on the Flint River! This year's Paddle Georgia is a week-long, 92-mile canoe/kayak adventure on North Georgia’s Coosawattee and Oostanaula rivers from Ellijay to Rome. I was lucky enough to get my way paid through Georgia Power last year! Not only that but I received a PLU for Project Wet and Adopt a Stream. The coordinator for project wet is great! It was great fun and I'm doing it again. I was contacted by one of the Project Wet coordinator, who asked me to talk it up as there are still teacher scholarships available for this years Paddle Georgia. so I am putting a link up to Paddle Georgia and the Scholarship! It's not that hard to fill out either, heck remember I even won a scholarship. Hit me up if you have any questions!

Hey HotH2O.....I remember you getting that scholarship and going on the trip...

Your report and pix from your week-long trip were awesome!!

If I was Georgia Educator and loved the outdoors and camping and kayaking, I would be all over this opportunity!!

Thx for posting it....JohnYaksJax

That looks pretty cool! Besides, how often do you get the chance to say "Coosawattee" and "Oostanaula" in the same sentence? :rotf:
