Appreciate the quick response.

Any help would be appreciated, whether a chaperoned float or not.

Amy thoughts on what's working these days?

Hey bud,

With the NE breeze coming to town, every creek is going to have some straight areas, with little land cover, where you are going to be in the wind. Your map selection will be key as to providing you with adequate cover during this wind. Also do not forget that the tides will probably be a touch higher :) . The good news is that the fish(trout) are practically jumping into the Kayak. I did really well on the trout, in Pumpkin Hill, last weekend. The majority of the fish were caught drifting while fan casting toward the grass lines, at high tide. Some were caught just trolling with the same set-up.We were using mud minnows on jigs and the muds(nice and plump) were bought from White shell. However, there is a new bait store that just opened(???) and is right on the way to Pumpkin Hill(right around the gun club) however I do not know enough about it to let you know what they have...etc. I hope that this helps, Good luck, let us know......

Hitman, thanks for the assistance...we have to find Pumpkin HIll on the maps, and might give it a try.

Typically don't do the live bait, but that is also open for consideration...

Again, many thanks!

You might want to check out Six Mile at guana. You can stake out behind some reeds and throw from there. Stay out of the open water. Good luck

We made it in, fished Sat and Sun.

We chose to stay close to Amelia Island, so we were around the south end both days.

What a breeze! Anyway only landed a couple of trout, but the time on the water was well spent...beautiful!

I wish you had responded to my earlier post. I could have got you into some good spots around the island  However, it sounds like you had a good time anyway.
