MARCH 28 - NOON - 6 PM: Bring the family and come out and explore some of the most beautiful lands and waterways in Jacksonville.
Join the North Florida Land Trust, City of Jacksonville, Florida State Parks, the Sierra Club and the Nature Conservancy as we explore Pumpkin Hill.
Don't forget your kayaks/canoes, fishing gear, walking shoes and appetite. Explore the kayaking launches on public and private lands today as we allow people to tour Bugtussle, a private estate which the North Florida Land Trust is working to acquire for conservation. Put in at Bogey Creek Landing, and kayak over to our island in Clapboard Creek- Pescatello, walk the trail we've created on the island, and then paddle back. Tours of the private estates of Spencer and McGehee will be held between 12 and 6 pm.
The Rotary Club of North Jacksonville is doing a Fish Fry (beer by donation), from 3-6 pm on the estate. $10 adults/$5 kids under 10. For more information or to purchase tickets to the Fish Fry - 827-9870 or
