I'm a little late in getting this post made on our trip. Thought it best to spend some time with Sally after her being gone for one week :D When I pulled into the driveway from fishing she also was just getting back home from ATL.

Met our group at KA for our 9:00 am launch. Chef and I were going to spend the day with several "newbies" (Stephanie/Chris/Luke) in an effort to get them on some fish. Although our efforts had good intentions, it turned out to be a tough day for everyone.

Steph had been kayak fishing numerous times but with limited success. Today she got her first trout.

While Luke is a kayak "newbie" he does fish quite often from a stinkpot. Was rather surprised to see that his brought his pet skunk with him today.

There must have been 10-12 kayak fishermen out there on SG today  I even saw YakMeister and his buddy out there :!: Don't think I have seen that many kayaks at once except for tourney day  Now I remember why I don't like to fish on weekends. From everyone's comments, it was a fairly slow day for all.

The problem for the day was that the west winds kept the tides from coming back in. Low tide was to be at 1:30 pm. However the water didn't start moving back in until around 4:00 pm. End result was a poor day of fishing.

Oh yeah, guess I should tell you I did hook onto 3 rat reds at my favorite trout hole :D

Several of us went back into a small side creek to check it out at low tide. We did find that it does hold water at low much to our surprise and that there where many more oyster beds than what we had thought. Can't wait to go back at high tide :!:

Overall, fun day with good folks :!:
