Went out behind the house (just south of the 312 bridge) today with my brother. Launched at the north ramp in the South at about 1:00 high tide. Hit the oyster bars and creek that dumps into the ICW just south of the boat ramp. It looked very fishy, but it was slow until almost dead low tide, and then things started picking up. Lots of bait in the water and a lot of activity on the surface, but not much for keepers.....5 blues, a pretty rat, and lost a monster something that slammed a mud minnow on a Cajun Thunder, but spit the hook as I was pulling the SOP. I didn't feel too bad though, a guy loading up a $25K center console at the ramp said he fished all day a didn't get one bite. New trailer and cart worked great, made for a very easy launch and loading.
