Hey Dan.... which kayak did you purchase. Know you were looking at the Wilderness Ultimate  In your last post you indicated it might be a while before you bought.

i ended up getting a tarpon100. i went back and looked at the ultimate again and realized that it was too much $$$. i didn't want to wait and save so i tested a couple more kayaks and liked the T100. my first yak was the big yak and i liked how easy it was to load and unload aswell as store but "she wasn't the fastes" then the caster was nice, that thing cuts through the water but haveing room for it at my house wasn't easy. this was a nice compromize. easy to load/store , paddels very easily and has plenty of room for me and my gear.......... speaking of gear .. with the money i saved i was able to afford some of the nicer options i have read about on this site. like a carbon fiber paddel and a fishing edition surftosummit seat. i should have done a seat upgrade along time ago.... very comfortable... also bought the yak naked and was able to get the scottys i wanted and install them in the places i liked. i have to thank the staff at BCO. i left there trully feeling like i got a DEAL and that they helped me get the rite options for an outstanding price. my next toy to get is a handheld gps, after getting lost and worried i'd have to break out the flare gun before finnaly making correct turn down a creek and finding the trail markers.. also a thankyou to andy at AWS for having the 6" scotty extensoin and the floating camera strap that no one else had..

Now that is amazing! For those who don't know, my family put together some gift money for Dad for a kayak and after looking at a lot of them and testing a number of them he bought Dan's yellow Caster 12.5. Now I see that you bought the Tarpon 100, Dan. Funny thing is that is one of the ones that Dad test paddled and was looking at- especially with the deal BCO had on it.
Congrats on the new ride and sliming her quickly!

Yesterday I checked the location of OH. It is located in the middle of a residenatial area. I like there.
So I am going there later today. Today is the last day of my (paid) vacation excluding the weekend...

I am with an orange color Hobie Quest kayak.
My name is Jason.

Jason, the entrance to Oak Harbor is right across the street from B&M Bait and Tackle, where you can buy anything you need. Ask them if necessary. Turn in, then go to the right, all the way, then left all the way, then left again 2 streets, then right. When you paddle out from the ramp, just pick a creek, go in 2 or 4 turns, and start fishing!

I did not get a single bite...
I have been fishing in the middle of the day. It may be one of the reasons. Other people who were fishing in the same time as I was did not seem to have caught much either....

I may ahve to go out early morning.
But, for some reason I have never caught saltwater fish in early morning in my life...
