Hello All,

I want to start by giving a big Thanks to all that offered advice over the past month. I am new to Jax fishing and was skunked 3x before putting my tail between my legs and asking for help from this site. Ya'll were very helpful. I would like to give a special thanks to Johnyaksjax, you are the man John!

Now to the my report....

Took the day off work today and went out of sisters creek marina. The wind was blowing pretty hard, so I headed NE from the ramp to check out the creeks. I arrived at low tide (11am or so) and had my best day yet.
First cast hooked on a 16 inch red!! Had about 2 hours or so of great fishing. 6 reds, all between 12 and 18 inches. 1 trout 16 inches, 1 huge ray (thought I had a monster at the end of the line), 3 catfish (Cockroach of the sea), and 4 or 5 crabs trying to steal my bait
Caught all w/ minnows on bottom or Floats with Minnows.

It was a great day, but after paddling down wind, I thought I may not be able to make it back through the headwind!! :)

wtg nice report, biggest thing to know about the current at sisters creek is to paddle diagonal with the cureent not against, it makes all the difference there.

not against, paddle at an angle as if you were making like a half of an X not go straight across. I have fished sisters quite a bit in a yak when i had one and it is the easiest way to cross.

Are you saying to "tack" across like in a sailboat? In other words, just paddle at a 45 degree angle from one side of the creek to the other when fighting the current? Just not sure what you are saying here. Forgive my ignorance.

All i was doing was making a suggestion i am glad to see that someone that has only been a member since april is telling people when and when not to replay to topics, i was telling him not to go straight across or directly into the current. i Have been around the water and boats since i was 5 and kayak fished for over a year safety is number one to me.

Woah, dont get all menstrual on me..

Your post "appears" to be telling someone to paddle against the current(at sisters creek no-less).

It does not matter how long you have been a member, there is no excuse for giving stupid advise..

My advise(even though I have only been a member since april) would be: Give hoolio his thread back. He caught fish and made it home..
If you really want to argue, shoot me a p.m..

Congrats hoolio..

Rahoolio needs his thread back. He had a great day and this has digressed into a bunch of crap. Let's congratulate him and move on.

Right on Raul! Glad to see you got on good spot and connected with some fish.

I just left you a message about hitting Guana tomorrow. Let me know if you are interested.
