malibu stelth 9

I'm thinking of getting a smaller yak for short & quick trips.
If you have this yak tell me what you think of it.

Re: Anastasia State Park

The south end by the shore is almost dry for about 50 yards at low tide. The ground isn't too muddy to wade back if you run out of water. The only problem with Salt Run is the amount of people renting wind surf boards and paddle boards during the warmer months. Last summer I had a whole group come b...

Re: Multiple Kayaks on a Bed Extender

It's been a while since I've bought any steel.
I'm not a professional welder, just a hobbyist.
I think I have about $60.00 in materials in it.

Re: Goat island

I went out there today. I didn't realize how strong the current would be. The south west side looked good. It was high & dry, but lots of rocks and a steep incline to drag a kayak. The north west side was a little lower and sandy. I think if we go that would be the side to aim for. Both areas had fi...

We went out today to try looking at Goat Island for a place to camp.
He liked it much better than the Heritage 10' he has.
He is a big boy nearly 280lb. & 6'3". He said he was dry the whole day.

I have one and love it.
I only wish it were watertight. I plan to make a fiberglass piece to go on the front hatch and place a watertight hatch.

Re: ocean fishing from Huguenot Park?

I launched of the beach near the Jetty rocks about 3 or 4 weeks ago had a great time it wasn't that hard to get out. I ended up mostly just playing surf the whole day with my nephew. I did practice coming in backwards that was a whole lot better then trying to ride the wave all the way in and gettin...
