So later around noon I somehow convinced my wife and daughter to go on a nature boat ride. We decided to take the kayak to Simpson Creek. So...

Re: Simpson's Creek in the rain
For the mullet chunks, do you just let them sit on a carolina type rig or reel it in slow?

Simpson Creek put ins
Does anyone know if the camp grounds at Talbot parks have put ins for kayaks? I know about the put in by the A1A bridge but my monster of a kayak is going to be to hard to put in there. I am looking to see if there is a place I can back my trailer up to that would allow me to stay past 5pm. Thanks.

Re: Non-Kayak Report with my kid
If anyone interested in the mud minnow spot let me know. They were swarming in the creek area. I had a 3 inch net my little girl carried with her and was able to scoop them up from the creek. I will have to go back out that way when its a little higher tide to see what it looks like but if they are ...

Re: Non-Kayak Report with my kid
Well we could not convince mom to let us go fishing but we all did go hiking at Fort Clinch and around Fernandina Beach. While hiking we found a great place to catch mud minnows and then I showed my wife and my daughter where I catch mud crabs.

Re: Non-Kayak Report with my kid
By the time she was done this afternoon she was ripping the shrimps head off and baiting her own hook. She told me she wants to go fishing again tomorrow. I told her to convince mom and its a deal.

Non-Kayak Report with my kid
Still cant take the kayak out yet but decided to take my little one out on Fort Clinch State Park Pier. Not much luck with anything to bring home but between the two of us we brought in 20 Black Nose Sharks.
Re: Everyone!
Merry Christmas, I traded my pole for a rifle this morning while visiting North Carolina. After freezing in the 30s I now remember why I gave up hunting for fishing!

I have been starting to get my little 6 year old girl into fishing with me and what do you know she really like pink. I will need to get some of these to continue her interest.
