Similar to koz, stopped at a sand bar to let my wife and little girl take some pictures while i fish. Decided that it was time to go so pulled the kayak side ways to allow the girls to step in without getting to wet. Looked up and they were still busy so decided to throw the line out a few more time...

kayak seat

i saw this on the updated version of my kayak, meaning the 2009 version versus my 2003 version. obviously, they dont make either version now. does anyone know of any rail system like this. trying to see if i could find something similar to make work.

i was playing around with some regular strap down bungee cord and it does work very well. you said place a hook an inch above and in the middle, why the middle. right now i have the two canoe paddles that came with it and it takes a lot to move the kayak, not to mention my buddy in front of me gets ...

for me it seems like all luck, but my hope to add some skill as i go out more. need to go out with some of the more experienced people to learn the ropes. went out friday with not much luck and then realized that the tide might not have been right since when i was going in others were going out.

i have a old 'old town' hybrid kayak as seen at the link below. i am using an old extendable aluminium grappling hook with the front cut to a point for a stake out pole, so its thick like the paddles. i will take a look at them. right now i still have the two paddles that came with the kayak when i ...

ya figure i better get in before it had gotten further away. there was someone else up the creek fishing but didnt know if he would help or not. good thing about it is it did not deter the wife and she is willing to go for another ride.

i got off work early today and thought about hitting the water but had to pick the girl up for daddy daughter date. thought she might want to fish but she said none of that today she wanted to just play so off to the playground and trails at fort clinch. maybe this friday if the weather holds out.
