Re: SeaDek Project Completed

Yes...it did turn out pretty nice and making the templates for the 2012 PA was a challenge as opposed to the 2013 model. But now they have what they need to make templates for all the years. I did let them know the differences between the 2009-2010 and the 2011-2012 models. It looks like they have a...

SeaDek Project Completed

I know I have another thread discussing the SeaDek project, but it was getting rather lengthy and I had not posted any pictures of the 2012 Pro Angler. It was delayed due to the tedious job of getting the templates correct for the 2012 model. SeaDek alos ran out of the black in the thickness I neede...

Re: Bit the bullet

Congratulations on the Pro Angler purchase! :thumbright: I have found that carrying the PA in the truck bed is easier for me when I have it loaded in bow first as opposed to stern first. The PA has 2 very nice scuff plates where the stern drain plugs are. So if you tilt it up at the bow with the ste...

Re: Writing on Maps

If you have a good computer graphics program that allows you to paint in layers (Photoshop is one), it's not hard to do. Just take a screen capture of a Google Maps location. Paste it into the graphics program as a layer. Then draw in a layer over the map whatever you want to use. It can be arrows, ...

James,

Ditto on the thoughts and prayers. The wife and I lost both mothers in the past year and a half. Deepest condolences to you and your family.

Re: The Best Grips

I carry a pair of the plastic grips in case I run into anything with teeth and need to use them to help dig out a hook that is swallowed deep. Helps holding the fish while you work on getting the hook out. Most of the time I use a net to scoop the fish up and get it in the boat. It's quicker than tr...

Re: Two issues

I can't speak from the saltwater perspective as I primarily fish freshwater, but I agree with the theme of the responses. I usually carry the main lures I use with backups in case I happen to lose one. It's never more than a dozen lures (total) that I use for various structures or depths. I do carry...

Matt,

Great report!! :thumbright:

I remember catching ling cod and rockfish in the Valdez arm and Prince William Sound in my Alaska days. They are both great eating. Never saw ling cod that color before!
