Re: Hobie Pro Angler 12 seat
While fishing this Wednesday the cord/rope that is underneath the seat broke on the left side where it attaches to the seat frame. I retied a loop and reattached it for now. Anyone had that happen? It's OK for now but I may have to (or want to) replace the cord and was wondering if I need to get th...

Re: 8/16 Dutton Island Preserve afternoon outgoing tide
Congrats on catching the nice red! :thumbleft: I have fished Dutton several times and caught some nice reds there. My best fish from there were a 24 inch flounder and a 26 inch red. Thanks! I caught a nice size flounder a few weeks ago there but as i was putting in the stringer it flopped back into...

Re: Hobie Outback Water in Mirage area
That looks normal to me. Hobie raised and flattened the flooring in the outback in 2015 if I remember correctly. The raised flooring reduced the water issue. I will assume yours is older than a 2015 looking at the picture.

Gulf redfish are notorious for not hitting a moving bait!! so the pause is more important then the twitch especially on top water!!!! High tide in Hagen's cove way back!!! Have yet to visit Hagen's Cove. It is on the list. I fish from Alligator point on the west side to Shired Island on the east si...

Re: Yates Creek, FL - 7-15-2017
Good day good report. Fishing in Yates Creek or outside the creek's mouth? If outside did you head west out into the Gulf, south along the shoreline toward Keaton Beach or north along the shoreline toward Spring Warrior Creek? Any idea of the water temp? Caught fish at what depth? About how much wa...

Yates Creek, FL - 7-15-2017
Met Ed, Buddy and Dave at Yates Creek yesterday morning. We had a beautiful sunrise and conditions. Supposedly the lunar fish activity was listed as a "high period of the year" time. The fishing started off slow. Go figure! After about an hour a formidable thunderstorm started developing to the sout...

Re: Any Long Term Reviews of the Mirage 180??
I don't have one yet, but will eventually get one. Still using the GT version with the ball bearings that was introduced in the 2015 model year. The one thing I didn't like looking at the 180 drive was the inability to fix a bent shaft on the water. It didn't have a pin/split ring setup like the old...

Re: Wakulla Beach Florida Trip 7-8-2017
Isn't Wakulla Beach a "far cry" from Jacksonville, FL? I've been inshore saltwater yak angling for more than a few years...how does a catfish "bolt" out of the water and into a kayak? Let's just say I wasn't lifting it up out of the water to grab the end of the line. I remember it pulling hard on t...
