Re: what is a good yak to buy?
Dont buy...the el cheapo sit inside from Dicks Sporting goods (matter of fact....dont buy a SIS). Its a great buy if you are river fishing and can hide under overhanging trees on a hot day. Its like an oven on your legs when you are out in the hot sun, trust me i know. Also, there is not any space f...

Not Much
Met JAXFL at the lighthouse in St Augustine. We caught lots of catfish, a pompano, a whiting and sting ray. It was a tough day. The stingray and pompano were firsts for me.
Thanks Dee for meeting up with me.

Surfboard Repair
My son broke the tip of his surfboard last weekend. Does anyone know of a good in expensive surfboard repair person? The board looks to have a foam inside with fiberglass wrap with a line of wood down the center for strength. The break is about 8-10 inches from the tip. Any help would be greatly app...

Re: oak harbor today
Being relatively new and not knowing any closer launches that what i have been to, i went to Kayak Amelia and launched there. I caught nothing but bug bites. Had a few decent hits. I really need to get out more and explore more launches.

I can relate to most, even being a newb in the Jax area.
As far as Item #1 - I drive a 3dr Yaris hatchback and my kayak weighs 36lbs (empty)...i put it in the car.
My next vehicle though....will be purchased with that thought in mind.

good smartphones for use on kayaks
Hello, I'm in the market for a new Verizon smartphone. It needs to be rugged due to my work conditions as well as how hard I beat it up when fishing from yak. Any recommendations are welcome.
