Re: Mullet

I am seeing that Luke and Clarke are using cut mullet for bait. I do have some questions on that. Are you catching that day? Cathing prior days and freezing? If you are freezing, do cut into chunks and freeze or freezing whole? All info is very much appreciated. When you rig it, are you rigging to ...

Re: Poll- how many kayaks have you owned?

1 - $160 Flex 9'-6" Sit Inside. When i bought it i was living in ohio thinking (saddened by the thought) i would never leave that place (the Mad River was 5 minutes away). And then i got a job here in Jax....Now that i live here, I'm always afraid a snake will try to get in the kayak with me and I a...

Re: Oak Harbor....Nadda

Never fished anything live or dead on a jig head. How do you go about doing that? Not knowing any better, i hooked the lip of the mud with the jighead (1/4 oz) and just tossed it out there. I've done the same with dead shrimp and live shrimp. It may be why I have not been catching as much as i woul...

Oak Harbor....Nadda

Went to Oak Harbor about 6am yesterday. The tide was just about at its lowest. I fished until noon and caught 2 rays, 1 pinfish, a small cat and this pictured fish (caught, picture taken and released). I'm still learning the types of fish, but i think its a Mangrove Snapper. Can someone please confi...

Kayak Amelia

Took my son kayaking out of Kayak Amelia yesterday. We tried live shrimp, dead shrimp, cut mullet, cut whitefish and mud minnows. There were schools of baitfish everywhere and it was pretty much....6" whiting and tiny catfish all day, except for this big fella (22.5") who was caught on a piece of cu...

Need a Place to take the Family

Now that I am back home after being away on business, I'm looking for a local place to rent a pontoon boat for the day to take the family swimming and fishing (probably more swimming than fishing, but one can wish). Is there a local area to swim inshore off a pontoon? If not local, where would recom...
