I caught (2) trout during the Classic last May on popping cork with Shrimp on the hook.
My leader is typically 12-18"

One of my favorite areas because not a lot of boats especially during low tide. It's hit or miss and there's a lot of blues and jacks but I've also gotten some nice reds and flounder in there. I usually pull my truck where it's visible to the road and haven't had any problems. Didn't know you came ...
