Re: Quick classic question

Your friends can check you in (as long as you are paid) and pick up your Capt's bag. We will announce during the Capt Meeting what the token will be for the next days fishing. That token will be in your bag. As long as you can hookup with your friends and they are willing :D to tell you what the to...

Re: Cradle Creek

I fish Cradle Creek quite a bit and find the reds to be sporadic. Some days I will catch 5 or 6 and next time zero. I have the best luck when the tide is outgoing enough so that the reds are leaving the grass and chunk some bait near exit points where the grass is sparse and they will help themselve...

Re: river reds

Nice redfish and I know you had a lot of fun fighting them! I have never used a net for bulls, just fish grips as a net big enough for bulls would take up too much space in the yak. The thought of using a sea anchor in the St Johns just sounds dangerous to me as that current rips so bad it would jus...

Re: Red Size for Classic

To be fair to all kayak fisherman and give everybody a chance to win, there should be a category where you measure all caught fish by the weight like any fishing league does but it has to be a slot fish. It could be redfish, trout, flounder or slam if you want. It's very hard to find two players th...

Re: Red Size for Classic

I think where most get disappointed is you enter a tournament and five or six guys river fish and bring in a bull and a barely legal trout. My personal feeling is you bring in this huge red and a dinky trout and win. I just elect to not fish that tournament because I'm not a river guy. This scenari...

Re: what takes classic?

I think it is kinda funny all the talk about the heavy hitters, etc and every year there are always alot of new faces up on the Classic stage picking up trophies.

Also, a 45" redfish out of a kayak would kind of be like catching a Unicorn out of a kayak, just something that you never see...

We need some Beer for the Classic!

In the past, Anheuser Busch has donated beer to the Classic but has changed their rules recently so that an AB employee has to be participating in the event in order for AB to donate to it. Are any of you Forum members an employee of AB and willing to put your name down so that we can obtain the bee...
