Re: Something Different: Scalloping!
Look at the photos. Look at the size of that "on wheels pull-behind" cooler. In the photo that cooler is over-flowing with whole scallops. The capacity of the cooler in the photo is significantly more than 5 gallons. The bag limit is two gallons of whole bay scallops per person, per day. 2 gallons/p...

Re: Guana WMA clean up
What h.p. motor is on that boat? Isn't Guana Lake limited to 9.9 max. h.p.?
What navigation "hazards" are in Guana Lake? Removing white PVC poles with red tape on them? Looks like someone is removing navigation "markers", not navigation "hazards".

Re: Pro-cure super gel on artificial?
1. Have caught as many, if not more fish without Pro-Cure vs. with Pro-Cure.
2. Pro-Cure will discolor some soft plastic artificial lures, i.e., VuDu Mullet and VuDu Shrimp.

Re: Att'n NE Red Drum Mgmt Zone Anglers
The majority of NW anglers that I know are in agreement with changing the bag limits to 1. They have seen a reduction in numbers and larger redfish. That's interesting. I've been kayak fishing from Ozello to Keaton Beach for many years. Without exception the yak anglers I know from the Big Bend thi...

Att'n NE Red Drum Mgmt Zone Anglers
Without stock assessment or other scientific data, FWC unexpectedly and surprisingly reduced the daily bag limit of Red Drum in the NW Zone by its Executive Order. Will Florida's NE Zone be next? Atlantic red drum assessment cause for concern Written by CCA Florida Last Updated: 06 May 2016 ASMFC ev...

... I'm also an advocate of stuffing your kayak with dollar store pool noodles so there is no way it can sink. You might not be able to paddle if it fills with water but at least it will float and you can stay with it or on it until they find you. If the hull of a sit-on top kayak is compromised (c...

Re: May 1st New bag Limit?
Think those in Northwest will be pleased to see this. They have been saying for some time that the numbers of reds are reduced and few of the larger reds. The NW goes from Escambia County to Pasco County. FWC's action was prompted by anecdotal reports of reduced reds, primarily from guides, specifi...
