Re: DIY PVC rodholder

The link doesn't work? I'm able to see it. There are 6 T's used.

Re: DIY PVC rodholder

I'm planning on putting a T in the center with a reducer that is threaded so I can attach a light/flag pole. I probably won't gule the T in so I can remove it if needed.

Way, way BTB

I've seen videos of people floating around in bluewater on a raft that looks like something a refugee from Cuba would put together. This made me think about being towed to the ledge to troll the weedline from a yak. I'm no stranger to the risks; I've been a fisherman both hook and line and with a sp...

Re: Gopro knockoff

I have a knock off of the sjcam which in itself is a knockoff of a go pro. $40 on eBay with all the mounts and whatnot. It does wifi, car mode, has a screen on the back, etc. I love it and haven't had a single issue.

Re: Simpson Creek access Question?

I have a question about accessing Simpsons Creek, searched and this is the closest thing I've found to an answer. Is the launch on Hecksher, just north of Huguenot the only way to access the south end of the creek? The distance from this launch to the bridge at Kayak Amelia is about 3.5 miles. I can...

Palms Kayak Ramp

Launched out of Palms this morning and was approached by a contractor/rep that informed me that they are putting in a ramp that is specifically designated for kayakers. He wanted to know what type of ramp would be best; going on to mention a sand ramp that ended at a sandy beachhead. My first reacti...

Re: Roof rack

Finally got around to updating this. I ended up going with the Rhino-Rack product. It wasn't cheap but it's worked perfectly and is as tight now as it was the day I installed it.

Re: DIY PVC rodholder

Big 10-4 to that. None of the line is attached to the yak. I've read up on the tricks of an anchor trolley and am planning on using the run a loop section of the anchor line through the D ring and then to the cleat. That way if need be I can quickly release the line and I'm completely free. Thank yo...

They're gulp products were almost $2 cheaper than GM. Nice to see they didn't give you a hard time returning the rod.

DIY PVC rodholder

After my maiden fishing trip last week I decided I need to tweak my setup. I learned I need more rod holder options. Accessing my net was problematic. The solution a PVC 4 rod holder. This was meant to be semi-permanent so everything has been glued in place aside from the actual pipe in the OEM hold...
