Re: Fl Laws fishing near docks/marinas

The state owns the waterway and river bottom but gives a person permission to put their dock in a specific location. The dock belongs to the one that applied for the permits to build it but that is it. My grandparents lived on the river and owned a dock with an enclosed boathouse. There was always a...

Sharks and Hawian Gaff

Just curious about shark behavior. Most of us have seen the youtube of the small hammer head giving a kayak-er a lot of trouble and the kayak-er pushing it away with his paddle. If he were to hit it with a Hawaiian Gaff would the shark leave him alone or become more of a problem for him. I've never ...

Re: Kayak Roof Racks

Thanks, I wasn't planning to store it there at all but may stop for a meal or something. I've heard the nightmares and didn't want any part of that. Traveling and short stops only.

Kayak Roof Racks

Guys - I need your help. I just bought a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and have ordered the roof top cross bars. I want to load my Kayak, Hobie Outback, from the rear because it would be the cheapest and easy to do. I'm concerned that loading the kayak up wright on top of the car could present a probl...

Re: Possible Fraud- S.A. Company-Face Shields-Just checking

Thanks, I feel better about the order but has anyone checked their credit card account to see if their are any improper charges? Since there has been so few charges on this charge there hasn't been much exposure for this card number to get out. Now I'm wondering if their computer system has been hac...

Possible Fraud- S.A. Company-Face Shields-Just checking

Guys, I saw the post on "Face Shields" and thought it too good to be true. On 10/30/15 I ordered 5 face shields that have never shipped, yet they charged my credit card that day. My credit card company, 3 months ago, sent me a new card with a new number and it has very few charges. Since this charge...

Re: Backwater Paddle Company

Good Morning Anna, I was so hoping you would catch another big red or flounder like the weekend before. My paddle arrived yesterday, yea. I can't believe I'm telling you this but I decided to take yesterday off, stopped at Whites for bait on the way to Ft. George. About a half mile before the ramp I...

Backwater Paddle Company

Guys, I've been reading your post for a while and joined last Friday. I have a Hobie Outback and bought a small paddle from the Backwater Paddle Co, perfect for the peddle kayaks. Short and easy to handle paddle that can be used to back out of places, cut bait on, pull yourself closer to docks, etc....

Re: Moving to area

Hi Todd, I live in Mandarin, South Jacksonville, great place but St Johns County, just below Duval, has better schools. High Crime is mostly on the north and west sides of town. I work on the NW side and carry for protection. Some really bad areas over here near my office. It does take me between 30...
