Re: changes could be coming to Sisters Creek kayak launch
I would think solo's would be okay, as long as they are hand launched. I'll be keeping my eye on the changes.

Re: Flounder Bite (08-21-16)
Nice catchin are you in a creek? I seem to find alot more redfish and trout than flounder in the creeks Thanks. Yes. A creek off of Heckscher Drive, very close to the ramp, in very shallow water. I look for schools of bait being attacked and I'll cast a Gulp right into the middle of the activity. I...

Re: FWC Safety Check
This is news to me then. A few years ago they were doing some kind of safety survey and maybe handed out decals. I didn't think too much of it then.
It will be interesting to see if others had a similar experience.

Re: rod/reel combo under $100
For spinning setups I would stick to medium and medium light rods and 2500 size reels. I like 7' minimum. And light braid 10-15lb with 15-20lb fluoro leader (I buy the "line", not the "leader material"). Keep in mind that the baits will weigh about 3/8 to 1/2 oz with 1/4 oz jigs and a soft plastic. ...

Re: ICW Night Fishing 8/10/16
Dave, thanks for the PSA. Have you seen guys with red head lamps? Usually I don't need much light at night. I was thinking of trying that.
It was not a rant in my opinion, more like a good tip.
I concur on the x-rap usage.

Re: Guana Lake Update?
A few weeks ago it appeared to be up pretty high. I launched from the damn and had trouble staking out (6' SOP) on the West Bank along a point I swear a few weeks before that I had no trouble with.
BTW, good catchin' dogyak!

Whoa! Do you prefer that style slayer jig head the best? I'm currently using the one that looks more like a swim jig (with the eye more forward of the head). This is really the first "name brand" jig head I've used. I had always used whatever red one that I found at wally world. After reading on th...
