Even with the grumpyness last year from some of the folks, I had a really good time.

Don't launch there if there is going to be a strong wind from the SE. The river can get really choppy but with a calm wind the current is do-able.

There is no public boat ramp into browns so we launched at the shrimp boats right off the main road.

Hello ya'll I met up with Jeff Maron at the shrimp boats around 6:30am this morning to fish Browns....It started off pretty cold but by the end of the day I was shirtless like Putin. Have you tried bass fishing with poppers on the fly rod? That has been more than enough to satisfy my fly fishing needs.

We need to go dual paddle boarding sometime! Great catching!

If you are fishing the creeks then the low water gives the fish less places to hide.

I'm no expert but ALL of my time on the water is planned 2 hours before and after low tide.

Kestner is such a great creek to spend the day and fish. Not many people fish it that I have seen while out there, so the fish are usually willing to bite!
