Re: Chad's Battle with Cancer is almost over
Horace,
I'm sorry to hear that Chad is no longer here, but I know that he is at rest and no longer in pain. Please know that our prayers will continue for you, your family and friends who are all dealing with his passing. I pray that the Lord will grant you all peace.

Re: Chad's Battle with Cancer is almost over
Horace, As with many others on this site, I have really enjoyed reading all of your posts. As a matter of fact, when it looks like one of your titles from the post on the forum I always go to it first. That being said, I too feel like I know you. My family continues to lift Chad in our prayers and k...

Tadpole, Hey man! Great to see you post! I've been checking in but haven't had anything really to post about. Alexandria is a whole different fishing scene to say the least. I bought a 4# fly rod and an ultra-light spin caster that I threw a Stradic 1000 on with some 4# mono. I couldn't find a store...

Re: Shad run
Can't wait until they make it up here, Alexandria, VA. From what I hear they show up in full force. I just missed it last year but I'm ready for them this time.

Re: Snook
My good buddy SRAces and I took a trip to south west Florida to catch Snook. What seemed to be working the best for us was a White Berkley soft bait. They came in a multi pack with the hooks already in them. I want to say they were about 5" in length. Another good friend who I used to live around th...

I'm with Ring King, Even though I moved to Virginia, I still live vicariously through this site and all the people who post. Yours are at the top in my mind. I hope we can meet one day. I have a Schnoodle (Schnauzer/Poodle) that goes everywhere with me. I'm sure he and Max would get along famously. ...

Re: Seeking Jax Area Kayak Fishing Advice
Hey man welcome! As my screen name implies, I love Mill Cove. I'd suggest launching at the Lonnie Wurn public ramp and head straight to the Islands a couple hundred yards out. (Newcastle I believe) Easy paddle and usually a great spot. Fish all the different sides and if you don't catch something wi...

Guana Lake would be my suggestion. Just try to find out the water level before you go.

Re: Lofton Creek report
Sua, Dude I wish I was back. DC really takes some adjusting to get used to. We bought a house in Alexandria, just south of DC. That's the garage I was referring to. It's funny, I came down there right after hurricane Matthew to do some walk troughs of properties for damages, fortunately we didn't ha...

I'm with Keastman, envious of the organization. I've just about got my garage squared away. Funny to think I've been in our new house for over 3 months now. I had to get the tools squared away first. Now the SOLO is in the garage and fishing gear storage is next on the list. Keep up the good work! DMC

Re: Kayak Seats and Life Jackets
Check out Academy Sports. I bought two auto inflates from them without back padding. CO2 refills are not that bad if I remember correctly. Less than $20 if I remember right. I'd also look into auto inflate belts. Might be the right thing for you.

Re: Interesting Fishing Tactics
Interesting indeed. Sad really. But what's really interesting to me is how they close the article with "even for Florida" (then it gets profane) I'd love to know where the author is from. They don't strike me as a well traveled person that knows what our state really has to offer. Don't bag on my st...

Re: Solo Skiff
West Marine makes a nice SUP paddle for a pretty affordable price. I believe it's called the Jimmy Stick. It's expandable so depending on how you paddle it's a really good fit. I've got one for mine and I secure it with a Scotty product. Mat on the board here I believe is out of town right now but h...

Okuma. I've got three and have had no issues whatsoever. Great touch and you can pick one up at ABT for around $60.
