Freshwater Run Off influence in a Tidal Creek

Fished a location, Fishbone Creek, a tidal creek through salt marsh about an hour and half near my home in Gainesville Today went out and for the first time saw a Gator less than 100 yards from where the creek dumps into the Bay. Over the last 2 weeks area has had allot of rain, water was tainted an...

Wilderness System Commander Series Discontinued?

Looks like according to the wilderness system website, that they are discontinuing the Commander Series for next year. Anyone confirm this? If so, getting rid of a very versatile kayak.

Kayak Upgrade? Commander 120 to the Radar 135

Been considering selling the Commander 120 and purchase a Radar 135. Had the opportunity today to demo the Radar 135 with the Helix Pedal Drive. Overall was impressed. Paddled similar to my first Kayak, Ride 135. Tracked very well, handled the wind and chop very well( It was a windy day during demo)...

Electric Motor Options for Commander 120

Been considering the Electric Kayak Company,BassYak or Torqueedo 403 for my Commander 120. Have done some research on both and both set ups have pros and cons. Torqueedo 403 obviously huge plus is the weight of the unit, 15-20 lbs, with lithium battery but is costly at $1800. Bassyak looks like a so...

"Kayak Doctor" Clark??

Called BCO and asked to speak to Clark regarding rigging my kayak, surprised when I was informed Clark no longer works there, it has been a few months since I brought a kayak in for Clark to work on. Person which answered my call said he was no longer working from BCO but doing something on his own....

Re: Locked Up

I know it is not in the category of being a kayak but the Ghennoe looks like a good option as well, especially if you tend to bring another person. Know it is considerable more money but the Ghennoe Low tide 25 looks like a great option.

Locked Up

Have saved money to purchase what I thought was set on a pedal kayak such as a Hobie Pro Angler 12 or a Native Pedal Drive. Was out a few weeks ago and ran into a gentleman with a Solo Skiff. All he had to say was nothing but positives. So now I am locked up between what I thought I wanted to purcha...

Tarpon 120 or Native Ultimate FX 12

I know two different kayaks, apples and oranges, but trying to decide between Native Ultimate FX 12/15 or WS Tarpon 120. Will be using primarily for inshore, flats, and marshes. Paddle trips less than 10 miles. Like the idea of the Ultimate for ability to stand, even though not a priority. Is there ...

Re: Diablo Amigo

Speed is not a priority or paddling distances. Priority is standing for fly fishing. I have heard the skeg makes a big difference in tracking and windy conditions. How comfortable is larry chair? Like the Sand Fleck color.
