Canoecraft

My interest in kayaks goes back to the late 90s when I discovered the book Canoecraft. Back then, Miss Linda and I built two cedar stripped canoes and had a blast doing it. Lately, that urge has come upon me and I am setting up for it again. I am curious. How many of you have ever had the desire to ...

Viewing The Bottom

Guys, Zip here! I am working on a new product. It is a bottom viewer, mainly for looking for large sharks teeth of the Megeladon variety in our area. That being said, years ago we could go down Mayport Road and enter along the small jetties that run along the bend of the river and down toward Chicka...

Re: Total knee replacement surgery-SLEEP problems

As sort of an export on this subject, with a hip replacement many years ago, migraine headaches and three eye surgeries since February, I have access to Hydrocodone but I avoid it like the plague. It gives me restless legs and constipation. So I use herbs like Valerian Root and Melatonin. I take thr...

Brackish Water Fishing License

We had an interesting question come up at Dick's Sporting Goods when a gentleman asked what kind of license you need when fishing in waters where traditional salt water species and fresh water species may swim. After doing some research, I discovered it is based largely on the tackle you are using a...

Re: The New Zip CPR Board (Fish Measure for CPR)

I am (as Jerry put it), still doing the golf thing at Dicks Sporting Goods on the north side. Come see me if you are having trouble with your game and want some pointers. If you come in for tackle, stop by golf to say hi if I am here. Dicks has added a lot of tackle this year. If you need a board, I...

Re: Fishing at Kathryn Abbey Hanna park

I lived there as a Host Camper for three years. I had a lot of success with fresh dead shrimp in the surf but since then I have learned the best bait for whiting is cut up chunks of whiting. I always made up my own rigs with small corks and circle hooks that float the bait up off the bottom. Today, ...

Rebuilt Title

I bought a 2006 Dodge 4x4 in December of 2013. I drove it for the past 4 years, not knowing it was rolled in Ga. in 2007, totaled by an insurance company, bought as salvage and rebuilt to receive a Rebuilt Title in Florida in March of 2008. So, the moral of the story is always do the Vin check on an...

Re: The New Zip CPR Board (Fish Measure for CPR)

A lot has happened this last year, including a detached retina in my right eye that I am just about recovered from now. I have resumed production of the boards, with methods that have improved the quality of them so if you want a great board for tournaments or just measuring those monsters you are c...

Guys, if you happened to make the same mistake I did and signed up as an Associate Member, you have to call her to straighten it out. You cannot do it on line and have to give her your credit card info.
