Had very limited opportunity fishing during family vacation in NZ and Australia. While fishing Twizel didn’t catch anything but witnessed local guy catching this nice brown trout on small egg pattern. In Sydney harbor got into some small blues and local kingfish which broke the line. Beautiful count...

Trip to Pennsylvania
We did short 3 day trip to Pennsylvania and NY. Steelhead was on our agenda first 2 days and between 4 of us we had about 35 first day. Second day few more. Third day arctic blast shot fishing down. From 50s to 22 overnight who’s. Here are some pics of these hard fighting rainbows. 10 wt mostly eggs...

We did 2 day trip to Cherokee and had fun with some nymphing and dry action. Water was low so fishing was somehow slow but we had fun throwing flies to 20 inch rainbows. Tide mattered with location at different stages schools moved. Early morning they ate like crazy but when dolphins would show up they would move closer to shore and feed less.

I think they moving north so I guess there is a way to chase them. It was fun while it lasted .. Everage size 26-36 inch.
