Re: Genung's Is Back

Thanks for all the kind words. Yes, we took a beating from Matthew. Took a couple months to get back on our feet. Walter, the owner, did a great job of rebuilding, although we're still quite there yet.
But we're now open. Come on by.

Grand Opening

Saltwater Flytyers at Oyster Creek Outfitters will have its grand opening, Aug. 20th. Stop by and check out the new store in St. Augustine. We're right off U.S. 1, a roll cast away from Oyster Creek. Joe Mahler and Drew Chicone will be there along with a slew of reps. It should be an informative yet...

Re: New Job, new life

Gumby: John nailed it.
We're next to Mariotti's Cleaners, just north of Oyster Creek and just south of King Street. If you're coming from the south on US 1, look for the TPH Parts House on the right. That's the plaza we're in. You can turn on Clark Street and park in the back or park out front.

New Job, new life

Long time visitor to the message board. Originally from Gainesville but moved to Tampa, then West Palm Beach. Big news: Recently divorced, I've moved to St. Augustine beach. The surf is my back yard, a decent double haul from the pier. Also, I work at Saltwater Flytyers. Just started. Feel free to s...

Re: When do the floods start?

I started fly fishing last October so I haven't really had an opportunity to fish the floods much. Without a skiff, I am impatiently awaiting the flood tides. Can anybody tell me when they typically begin and the fish show up? I have seen a few big numbers on the chart sporadically, but the crabs a...
