Re: Best launch sites at Beaches
John I agree with you assessment of Castaway. Many kayak launches the city built aren't worth the paper they were drawn on.

Re: Most stable beginner fishing kayak
I have both a Perception Caster 12.5 and the Vibe Sea Ghost-130 The Caster is a wet ride but extremely stable. I am 6'3" and 300lb I bought mine in 2007 and use it as a spare. It tracks pretty well and I have found that it paddles pretty fast. I would not take it on the ocean though because its low ...

Re: Cherokee NC
Thanks for sharing. Sounds like you had a fun trip. I was born up in the Blue Ridge mountains not to far east of Cherokee. I am hoping to make a trip up that way in the spring. There are lots of little creeks that are great for chucking fluff for trout.

Re: Vibe Sea ghost
I have a 2015 Sea Ghost 130 it is very stable. I am 300+ and can stand in it. It paddles and tracks well even without the rudder (which I hardly use) Customer service with these guys is great as well. I cant say about the 110 but would definitely recommend the 130.

I have had some good catches out there. After the hurricane it has changed though. Holes aren't as deep as they used to be. still some good fishing though.

I am glad to here some folks are working on one for next year. It supports some worthy causes and it has been a lot of fun. Just remember there is a ton of time and effort involved by a lot of folks to put on a tournament of this size. All we can do now is say thanks to Mike and everyone who worked ...
