I do like the screen door idea but yes I am looking into some kind of vents because not only do I like fresh air I don't like it to be 100 degrees inside when its 80 outside! The thing is like an oven inside. I was running the wires for the clearance lights and even with the door open its still hot ...

For the guys worried about the hole in the front if you look the peice that sticks out in the front is a door that folds up so that its and enclosed trailer. I just layed it in and fitted it to the kayak. Mine is a little off on one side but it fits in nicely. I havent measured it exactly but after i cut it down to size i believe it was about a foot tall.

Lol. i saw some one on the site with pic of a small battery powered lamp they bought from target attached to a piece of pvc that i was going to try and get! I like the idea of being able to see at least a little of my souroudings!

GillAgin has a pool noodle cut down one side that wraps around the crossbar attached with a few zip ties and seems to work fine!
