Re: Brown’s Creek 4/11

We tried a brand new ramp off main st on the Nassau river. It’s called Half Moon park and it’s a nice boat ramp. I was not in the kayak but a pontoon boat with some family. We just threw cut mullet but never had a bite. Not my usual area for fishing. Was browns creek packed with yaks on Saturday? It...

Re: Kayak/fishing clubs in Ponte Vedra/St. Augustine area

Unfortunately , this site has almost died. Used to be very busy and hosted one of the largest kayak tournaments in the world. I’m sure everyone is still fishing but must be on Facebook or something. Check out FLA. Florida lure anglers club. They meet monthly and have year round tournaments.

Re: Jax Boat show today (Saturday)

It seems all the boat shows, (Daytona last week for me) only seem to have big , pricey boats. It amazes me that there are no small skiffs, bay boats or kayaks at all.

Re: Kayak fly fishing

To be able to get off the bank in any vessel is a game changer. The places you can get into and even paddle to and get out on a different bank. I have a boat, canoe, and several kayaks. I spend most of my time in the kayak. My advice for kayak fishing is to keep it simple. Don’t bring tons of crap t...

Like dogyak said, there are statutes that protect fishermen and hunters from being harassed. Do like dogyak and print them and keep them with you.

Re: Salt run

Nice. I think I give lures too much action. Since I’ve slowed way down, I seem to be catching more. But then again sometimes I catch more with a lot of twitches and reeling. It’s very confusing for me.

Re: New kayaker, could use some help

With the full moon approaching, you were in a big tide swing. Sometimes only 4 ft of water has to move in 6 hours, and sometimes 6 feet of water has to move in 6 hours. So, much faster current. Mill cove is a great place as long as it’s not windy because there’s very mild current there. Also, there ...

Re: Vacation spots

We rented a condo in Ocean Village on A1A. $90 per night and the place is empty. Seems to be all snowbirds. Plus a 9 hole golf course running between the buildings. You can hit all the places previously talked about plus launches just south of the condo on A1A.
