Re: Android Apps for inshore

Seatow app is actually really good. You don't have to be a member and the app is free.

meh, my setup with the HF trailer is much better than this one. I looked and realized I had no pictures of the modifications. I will grab some tonight and update.

Re: ever drop your cell phone in the water?

Cases will be unnecessary for waterproofing soon! A company has developed a waterproof coating that they debuted at CES this year. They had Iphones (and others) sitting in water tanks still running. No cases on them.

Tides explained!

A quick 1 minute video to explain why we have 2 high tides per day. Interesting.

Re: Crazy Sand Trout

Yup. I was confused on this as well until I called the FWC to clear it up. Weakfish/yellowmouth are classified together and we are not in a management area for them. Can keep as many as you want, but that's wayyyy too much time cleaning fish for me.

Re: Anyone fish Friday .??

I packed everything and hooked up the kayak trailer last night. Woke up about 8 this morning and stuck my head outside and it was cold and drizzling. I chickened out  and went back inside and made a pot of coffee. After seeing the wind around 11, glad I didn't go.

Re: leakage

Theres also a marine product called "Marine Tek" I use it to beef up where I drag my kayak when loading/unloading on ramps. Ah! Great idea. I've been worried about the exact part you have pictured as it sometimes drags on the ramp while launching. I have a huge can of Marine tex (I think that's wha...

It's not good when you are napping after a lunch break and one surfaces about 2 feet from the kayak and blows air.

Re: Olympus stylus tough

The black bar happens with any dark objects that are filmed, this video just happened to be the example I found first. On the light spots, they occur with anything that is bright. a lot of pictures that I try to take on the water come out with white vertical streaks or bars through the pic. I will b...

Olympus stylus tough

I have the olympus stylus tough 3000 and noticed that my pictures and video come out horrible. I swear they used to be better than this, but I had a data drive crash and haven't had the time to pull the backups yet to check. I took a quick test video last weekend coming in on the boat. Notice the bl...

Re: Dutton 6/11/11

I thought that was you that went by us the second time. We were the two that took the bank when you left it near the dock. We did manage a handful of just under slot reds, but it seemed a slow day overall. Not a bad day for me fishing the outgoing tide as I usually do better on the incoming.

Re: Articulate / Offset your Scotty Rod Holder

I bought one of these from Andy last year. Works great! I was afraid that the extra length would make it wobble a good bit, but its really solid. Definitely a good buy. :-B
