Re: Best bait for Guana? (Repost)
i find that lures work best for Reds specifically gulp minnows slayer paddle tails and bone colored top water lures. I normally fish guana in my skiff because its to much paddling to get where i want to go. I usually will slow troll live finger mullet behind a cork and typically pick up gator trout ...

Re: Guana?
Any water level updates? Drove a1a last week and 6 mile looked deeper. But hard to tell driving by at 55 mph. Was thinking of going tomorrow but have never had much luck when waters really low

Re: Six mile landing muddy
I fish Guana heavily every summer and don't think ive ever seen the water much better than muddy. Went last week and got into a school of reds that kept me busy for an hour straight of top water action. 8 slot reds in the boat then hooked into a 26 inch fat trout at a different spot. Wish the water ...

Re: Guana WMA clean up
i meant "no need" for markers; the lake is pretty much the same depth though out until you get past the watchtower so i can't see any need for navigational markers. Cant wait til they start filling up so i can get back out there a few times a week; fishing always seems off for me when the water is s...

Re: Guana WMA clean up
good work on the clean up; not sure what the negativity is about. There is no channel at guana so need for navigational markers; wish they would clean out those old crab traps

Re: St Augustine question...
I would hit san Sebastian over hospital this time of year.. You could probably still find reds schooling the flats at low tide and a good top water bite. Hospital creek is just so hit or miss and there aren't really productive flats back there mainly a deep channel with smaller feeder creeks. I fish...

Re: St Augustine question...
San Sebastian creek has fish but I've never caught enough to make it a regular go to spot. The great thing about the area is that it is almost never fished by anyone. Miles of flats that are usually totally empty almost every day of the week. The main problem is access and having a safe place for yo...

Re: New Job, new life
Just curious were exactly is the new shop going to be located off US1? I live in the oyster creek neighborhood and fish the pond quite often. It'll be nice to have a place to talk fishing near by.

Re: Guana Update- Trout and Reds
im curious about these scars, Ive fished 100s of times in guana lake over the last few years and have caught lots of fish but have never seen anything like that sore on that redfish. Do you have any other pictures of the scars. I fish from a skiff with a 9.9 and as far as I know have never hit a fis...

Re: Guana Empty
Guana is defiantly a fickle place, ill start fishing there in the spring after the draw down and the fishing is insane all summer. In the fall the season end seems to coincide with the end of the mullet run. Ill go from catching slot and over slot reds and trout all day to nothing at all within a co...

Re: Crab fishermen
Glad that now, every boater that read my post will be extra careful around kayakers. I dont carry nor do I plan to carry but all you boaters just took a shyt.:) I certainly agree boaters should be careful around yakkers and would think that the majority are... but every group has ignorant individua...
