Re: BKC or Other Suggestion?

Look at the Old Town Topwater 106 PDL. You can get one new in your price range and it has a nice pedal drive. I have one and I am very pleased with it.

Re: 2nd Kayak

Based on what your requirements are I would recommend a Native Slayer 10. It comes in at around 60lbs unrigged and is a pedal drive option that is lighter. Something to consider at least.

Re: SML

I am convinced that the lake is managed to benefit the hunters and not the fisherman.

That is an interesting combination. The spoons are still a tool I am trying to master and get confident in. Looks like you have got it down. Nice job!

Re: NE FL November Snook, Reds, etc (11/17/18)

Great report on another busy day Jim. I had hoped to get out Saturday but work got in the way. It was a busy day but I am surprised the Trout did not join the party with the temperature drop. Thanks for the report and great job!

Re: Bull red

That is a beauty of a Redfish. I am making my first La. trip the last week of November. We are staying and fishing in Venice. Sure hope to get a few pics like this one. Thanks for the inspiration and great job!

Re: Crescent Beach/Hwy 206 Launch?

I only fish that area on occasion and have not been down there since the spring and you could launch there then. I do not believe many from the Jacksonville area fish down there very often. The driving surface up to the waterfront has deteriorated in recent years without remediation.

Thanks for the reminder the snakes. I too prefer remote locations and I have seen relatively few of them. I sometimes think I must be missing them because I know they are out there.

Re: Top Water Red, Slam, and more (09-15-18)

Great report Jim. You really do a nice job of painting a picture for the readers. There is nothing like an over slot Red hitting a topwater lure. Those that I have been lucky enough to catch that way are at the top of my favorite kayak fishing catches list. Looks like a typically busy day on the wat...

Re: Viewing The Bottom

I drove by there last week and Chicopit is open. They appear to have permanently closed the road that led out on the jetty but the rest appears to be open.

Great report as usual Jim. The fish were right where you left them in the creeks. You always seem to have them dialed in. Thanks for the report.

Re: Drum City 6/6

Sounds like an all around successful maiden voyage with some good lessons learned. Keep at it. It gets a little easier each trip. Time on the water pays dividends down the road. Congrats on the keepers!
