Nicely done.
A mad porpoise... not something you see every day.
Cheers.

Re: Best Place to Fish w/ Hobie Outbacks
Definitely Guana Lake, launching from the dam. They have finally finished up with their heavy construction (though what they really doing for a year remains to be seen) and someday, might even get their hose bibs back to working for rinse offs. There are other ramps which will give you constant, dee...

Re: Have any of you owned both a pedal driven kayak and ...
Then again, there's always a Sailing Kit.
If your yak has a pilot hole for it, it's an option.
It won't help in the shallows, narrows or oyster beds ...
but if you're in deeper water and storm clouds start rolling in ...
or the wind shifts straight off the ramp area ...
it's an option.

Re: YouTube video of my custom fishing rods
Just caught your custom rod video now ...
and realized that you were sitting several rows in front of me at the SUPS Sheepshead Seminar by David Hernandez and "Steamin' Willie" Niemann.
Would've said howdy & "nice work".
oh well.
Cheers.

Were any of you olde salts actually there at the SAPS seminar yesterday, 01.26.2019, for Sheepshead, with David Hernandez and "Steamin' Willie Niemann" ?
If so, "Nuts"!
I attended, but didn't recognize anyone.
Sorry I missed you guys. Bummer to the max.

Hey, Mark, Sounds good. I frequently find the St Augustine Paddle Sports Seminars on the Facebook "St Augustine Fishing" and also "Flagler Kayak Anglers". Will Niemann is associated w St Augustine Paddle Sports and I believe David A. Hernandez is one of the owners. There's typically ~ 1 seminar a mo...

Re: St. Augustine Kayak Fishing
Hi, Stumpknocker and JStach_: I'm midway between Jax and St. Aug in NW SJC & would be happy to Buddy-up sometime, weekends -or- weekdays. I've heard that weekends out of Vilano are a zoo, though I'd be game to try the surrounding banks, hsptl creek, other areas, as long as they've got ~ 2' of water ...

Re: Guana and SML
Thanks much.
Been wondering... supposed to have been done 07.31.18.
"right".
I recognize all the pix except pix #3.
Where's that from?
Or is that the one from Six Mile -- which I can't use due the depth...
which would explain my ignorance of it!
lol
thx.

Holy cow.
Thanks for the info.
I found a loose fitting in mine last week, but didn't know from whence it came.
Now I'm going to track it down with a vengeance.

Re: Fly Fishing Mahi-Mahi
Looks like "The Holy Grail" to me,
'cept I'm not seeking until after I'm worthy ...
that is,
after my son & I's
1000-th red, trout, or tarpon (not in any order, nor number),
on "normal" spinning tackle, w Lures.
Great Vid, though.
Signed,
Don Quixote (& son).
lol.

Re: saltwater reel Recommendations
Here's my $.025 worth. All previous suggestions quite valid. I've switched long ago, from Penn's to Shimano's, also from bait casting to spinning, for many reasons (bird's nest soup; leverage, etc), but in sum: Penn's are typically sturdy, yes, but always heavy & kind of clunky. I bought a new pair ...
